Position available in a field closely related to ID…as a manufacturers’ representative (for mostly architectural lines)… preferably someone interested in buying into and eventually buying out a well established agency.

Position available in a field closely related to Interior Design, as a Manufacturers’ Representative (for mostly architectural lines. Preferably someone interested in buying into and eventually buying out a well established agency.
The potential for income and success is solely dependent on your ability to sell…both yourself and your product lines. If you believe in both of these attributes, you will succeed well beyond your expectations.
As an independent rep, you will:
1) Pay all your own expenses (“some” co-op support is possible)
2) Travel as you deem necessary to secure specs and orders
3) Do most of the take-offs and estimating on projects (some factory assistance is available)
4) Bid projects in upper Midwest area (your quotes or by factory)
5) Contact spec writers, designers, and architects in person, by phone, or electronically keeping their resources current
6) Exhibit at area product shows (“some” co-op support is available)
7) Call on your customer base (existing and potential) to secure orders and inquiries
8) There are also several ‘sub-rep’ product lines in existing portfolio (split commissions with other agencies)
9) Principals’ product on-line training available as well as plant tours and specialist training
10) Most importantly schedule your own time to maximize your sales efforts
All lines are exclusive to the contract territories; there are no ‘house accounts’, etc. There are many, many other quality product lines available for qualified reps; allocating adequate time to develop them is the only necessity.
Excellent computer and phone skills a REAL plus! Territory varies by line, but covers mostly: SD, ND, IA and portions of NE & MN.
